ANDREA ABRAMS, is Founder and Principal of The Abrams Agency, where for the past decade she has provided consultation services including communications classes and coaching for vivaria, business continuity instruction, executive speechwriting, college admissions coaching, and Enneagram workshops.

 

​Andrea’s field experience working with veterinary executives and frontline animal husbandry staff brings transformational communications coaching to veterinarians and the vivarium environment, providing immediate results in individual self-confidence and empowerment to executives and teams navigating relationships between researchers, university administrators, teammates, and stakeholders.

 

Andrea earned a Master Business Continuity Professional designation from Disaster Recovery International, a Master’s degree in English Literature from San Francisco State University, and a Bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in Spanish from the University of California, Berkeley. Andrea also holds certificates from Prosci and Stanford University Graduate of Business, several Congressional proclamations citing her contributions to the community, and membership in the coed Order of the Sword and Shield fraternity out of St. John’s University in Queens, New York. ​Andrea chairs the International Glossary Committee for Disaster Recovery International and serves as a proctor for the California State Bar Examination and The College Board’s SAT and Advanced Placement exams.

 

Prior to currently serving on the board of her homeowners association for the last eight years, Andrea served as the Mayor’s appointed Library Commissioner and Commissioner on the Status of Women for the City of Pasadena, California.

 

Andrea’s lifelong love of animals is also showcased through her field experience with Buffalo Field Campaign completing the annual census of wild bison at Yellowstone National Park.
